Greatest Hip Hop Producers

This post is dedicated to listing who I think are phenomenal hip hop producers. Rap producers are a huge contributing factor to a rappers career.

They lay the foundation down for a rapper to display their lyrical skills. I wrote an article a few months ago called How To Become A Great Music Producer where I said that a great producer is able to be unique and come up with fresh creative sounds with each project. I also mentioned that a great producer also had=s engineering skills and can also customize beats on the whim according to what his client wants.

These music engineers and music producers on this list have earned their right to be called some of the greatest producers in not only hip hop but also in other genres of music. They all posses a skill that rare now a days in the music production world. Now a days hip hop producers lack originality, they follow what other producers do and are scared to venture out and try to create their own style and sound.

Not only that but now a days we have more and more beat making producers, hammering over drum machines, and not enough producers/engineers. So there is sort of a technical aspect that these beat makers of today are lacking. To be a great hip hop producers you have to be different, you have to be able to blend instruments and sounds in a way that is sonically appealing. you have to know chord progression and have a ear for what goes together and what doesn’t. It really takes practice and knowledge of production to become a great music producer.

These producers on the list are experts when it comes to music production, and have truly mastered the art of production on so any levels. They will go down in history ad great producers and trail blaze the way for other producers to try and do the same.
