Prime Time Show “Empire” Breaks TV Record

The new Hip-Hop themed TV show, “Empire” is gaining millions of fans each week; $14 million to be exact.

According to Fox, “Empire” is the ONLY primetime scripted series to have a rapid growth in total viewers over each of it’s five episodes since 1991. That’s a twenty-three year tv rating record.

Getting picked up for second season they’re planning to add more celebrity clout to the show in hopes of getting even more viewership. already. There is already gossip of rap super star Snoop Dogg making appearances on upcoming episodes.

Entertainment Weekly has reported that “Empire” is averaging around 14 million viewers with a 5.6 rating among adults 18-19. That’s amazing. Especially for a TV show that just started.

I guess it’s safe to say, we’ll be watching this Hip-Hop drama TV show for a very long time.
