Rocka Boy Ft. Ana – Put It Down

Mychal Anthony Travis, the multi-faceted rapper, singer, songwriter known as Rocka Boy, was born in Hudson, New York where he witnessed a series of unfortunate events unfold in front of his eyes and at a very young age.

His experience with a broken home and drug abuse from his parents landed him in Atlanta, Georgia with his father. Far away from home, Rocka was continuing his interest in music and started to build a reputation through rap battles.

He later started to mingle with experienced local artists which gave him even more interest in the world of music. Rocka later would move to Houston, Texas where he was exposed to another entirely different music scene in which he had to learn, but only helped him with his musical experience and background. At 15, he moved back to New York and joined forces with a childhood friend and another friend who shared the same love for music. The group Young-N-Ridiculous was formed which Rocka played a large part.

The group was able to perform at local events, and eventually at out of state showcases. Personal differences between the group members caused the group to split but Rocka had other plans in mind. He had recorded a solo demo and continued to perform in and out of state. After graduating high school, Rocka was unsure of which direction to take his life. He ultimately decided to stay in the local music scene where he would collaborate with other unsigned artists and DJ’s across the country. Rocka has put no limits on his music capabilities and hopes to inspire the lives of others with his diverse arsenal of talent and experience.
