Tranell Anais Rock best known as Skittles was born June 15, 1990 in Brooklyn, New York. As a youngster, the rapper has always had big dreams of success.

She would spend hours at a time writing lyrics to beats with dreams of making them a reality. After high school, she made her dream a reality by modeling Jackets for malarts.org With the exposure of modeling she started to network and create demos.

One of her many songs is called “Break it up” produced by Mastermind. Her goals as an artist is to give the hip hop game a different type of flavor with her versatile lyrics and style. At a very young age, she developed a unique sense of style. She is a 90’s baby with an old soul. The rapper dares to be different and lives by her style as retro and bright, never dull or lame.

With the help of Raymond Starks and many others, She came out with her first mixtape on June 15, 2011 “The color me dope project” became even more appreciated in the hip hop community.Skittles has many influences an example of them are, earth wind and fire, George Clinton and the parliament, Prince, The Time, Outkast , Janelle Monae , Kanye west , Busta rhymes, daft punk and Benny Benassi. They call her skittles because she always switch It up (different flavors).

Hip hop needs to ” lighten up” and she is the one to do that.Skittles is currently working on her second mix tape “Skitzotonic: The introduction of skitzo where her alter ego “skitzo” is introduced to the world stemming from her childhood. The release date for that project will be February 29, 2012.
