1. Register To The Site

.

The first step is to go to the site and click on the Sign Up tab. In order to gain full access you have to become a member first. Also you have to be a member in order to request an upload. http://www.livemixtapes.com/signup.html

2. Request An Upload Of Your Mixtape

.

The next step in this process is to make a request for your mixtape to be uploaded to the site.

You do that by filling out a brief application by going to the Contact Us page and click on the link under the words Artists, Dj’s, Music Labels  http://www.livemixtapes.com/contact.html remember that you have to be logged into the site in order for you to make a request.

That’s right you CAN NOT upload your mixtape to the site on your own. One of livemixtapes affiliated dj’s has to upload it.

This is how they set up their system and there is a reason for that. Which is explained in our next point.

3. Acceptance Of Mixtape & Fee

.

Once you have submitted a request for your mixtape to be uploaded to livemixtapes.indy one of the sites reps should get back to you within a few days depending on their workload.

Once someone gets back to you with an acceptance approval of your mixtape upload you will be sent an invoice to pay a $100 submission fee.

This is normal, they charge a fee to uploade your tape, after all they are indeed a business right?

So it’s up to you to decide whether you would like to pay that fee, or go to a mixtape site that allows you to upload your mixtape for free.

The choice is up to you. No one will force you to pay. So you can either accept the invoice fee or decline it. If you do accept to pay the fee you can move on to the next step.

4. Music Material Submission & Assigned DJ

.

Stage 4 of your indy livemixtapes submission is to gather all your needed materials for the upload.

This includes: Title of Mixtape, Name of Artist, Art Cover Front & Back, track list, social media links and short description.

Be sure to double check your track listing so no mistakes are made in the order they are listed or a misspell in a name.

Once you submit all the needed materials they will assign one of their affiliated dj’s to upload your mixtape.

Sometimes they will even do it themselves. A rep from Livemixtapes will contact you to look over your submission once again so you can verify all is safe and correct before attempting to upload it to the site. Because once it’s up no corrections can be made.

5. The Waiting Game

.

Now that everything has been submitted after you have double checked if all is alright. You have to play the waiting game.

From experience we have has some of our artists get up in two to three days, and the longest has been two weeks! it just depends on their workload, but they are pretty good at getting it uploaded within a week.

Once everything is uploaded you will be send the link to look at. You can even view it on mobile livemixtapes Once you have the link you can promote it, but to get the best results promote it intelligently.
