King of the Dot Entertainment, also KOTD for short, is one of the prestigious battle rap organizations out right now. It was founded in Toronto, Canada in 2008 by rap battle enthusiast Organik. The King of the Dot name stems from the Toronto’s urban nick name “T-Dot”. Some still refer to Toronto as “The Dot” or “T-Dot” or even now which is more popular “The 6ix”.

There has been many popular rapper’s that have hosted a KOTD battle rap match including: E-40, Drake, Method Man, and Raekwon just to name a few. KOTD has done well with their business selling out tickets to their rap battle event and making a profitable stream of income from their merchandise and ad space on their site. KOTD showcases mainly North American battlers, but have also touched the international scene showcasing rapper from the U.K., Australia, Sweden and South Africa.
