Pinqy has been rapping for over ten years now, but took a break to become the first in her family to graduate college. After realizing how many minorities don’t get the opportunity of a proper education, Ms. Ring got deeply involved in community work and teaching.

After being laid off of her millionth non profit teaching job, she realized it was the Universe’s way of pushing her back into her passion of rap. Besides, how could she encourage her students to follow their dreams if she was not doing that herself and BEING the example?

This year music is her full time job, and though she still teaches part time she won a $10,000 Jet Set Life contest via Instagram geared towards people who give back, which is now being used to fund her music and create genuine change. She released an EP in 2013 entitled ‘Herstory’ (link below), and continues to tell women’s narratives with her next release.
