Jerome Davis (DevilsCareTaker)

Jerome Davis (aka DevilsCaretaker) is a DJ/Producer and audio engineer based out of Lexington Park, Maryland. Jerome’s music of choice is steeped in dirty south and orchestral trap instrumentals that contain equal doses of dance, experimental, and club sounds. As a self-taught musician constantly looking for ways to defy conventional music theory, Jerome refuses to be compartmentalized and bound by traditional forms of musical expression.

In order to bridge the gap between the melodic hip-hop and dirty south with the dubstep and electronic instrumentals that inspire him, Jerome combines years of hip-hop, rap, cinema sounds, and electronic dance music experience with a forward-thinking mindset. In short, Jerome possesses an inner drive and personal commitment to music-making without professional assistance or additional musicians.

Jerome sets his sights and sounds on the instrumental effects of music that reach beyond the surface and probe the darker depths of human achievements. Keep in mind, the seemingly dark and eerie album covers, not to mention his moniker, are perfect dichotomies of dark and light musical qualities heard in the past and present works. Jerome is currently promoting a new instrumental album entitled Bars, Beats & Ticks Vol. 2, a collection of 11 instrumental beats inspired by industry new-comers like Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug & Genasis. Since DevilsCaretaker is an ever evolving venture based on his own journey through life, the future looks very bright, in a dark way! Jerome adds, “You never know what you’ll hear next!
