Jovie was Born and raised on the eastside of Detroit, Michigan during the golden era of hip hop, it’s no question that Jovie spent a lot of time absorbing what he heard through his radio and other young talent in the neighborhood wanting to break into the music industry.

Heavily influenced by the infectious sounds of many hip hop legends, Jovie spend long hours perfecting his craft which would put him the elite among his peers. His gritty and clever delivery with rhymes can easily be compared to those who paved the way for him. With his down to earth content, versatility and conversational lyrics, Jovie has honed the art story telling through his music. Jovie burst onto the scene in 2002 as an indie artist.

Armed with knowledge of the music industry from countless hours of studying, networking, and learning from established artists, Jovie made it his mission to make himself known among his peers by working diligently in the studio and perfecting his craft. Jovie’s hard work has certainly paid off gracing the pages of many hip-hop magazines, hip-hop  blogs from UK to Jamaica including Worldstarhiphop.com, as well as opening shows for several major acts over the years from Rick Ross to Common and headlining shows from Ohio to Atlanta and many venues in between. This clever artist is definitely blazing the trails with his signature sound and on his way to super stardom.
