Napoleon Da Legend

Napoleon Da Legend was Born in Paris, France and his parents are originally from a small African island called Comoros. Napoleon and his parents moved to America and was raised in the DMV area.

Napoleon has claimed to have coined a new genre of rap music – “Reality Rap”. He says that artist have different categories they fall into, some do gangster rap, some do conscious rap, while others make club bangers and some d straight spittin. He says that he says that the tracks that he makes doesn’t fall into any rap category so he took it upon himself to create a new category that describes the type of rap music he creates.

Napoleon’s “reality rap” is very diverse in sound but most of them have a message in it or some sort of deep introspective social commentary. Listening to some of his “deep” rhymes I wouldn’t say that its conscious rap, I would say that his rhymes are really about everyday life and what’s going on in the world.

And while he does have those introspective songs he also has a slew of songs where he gets very lyrical! you can tell that he’s been doing this for a long time because his lyricism is precise and he can get technical, but it can be understood if you’re a real hip hop head.

Even though Napoleon has opened for many superstar rappers such as Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes, Wyclef and Nelly, he is currently seeking the right team to help him introduce his style of music to the global audience. Napoleon is working tirelessly on his debut album “World Conquest,” which he describes as his official introduction to the world stage and music scene. Napoleon hopes his album can cause a paradigm shift in the current music scene like Obama was to the political scene.
