Redd Handed

Redd Handed is a 22 year old artist, born and raised in Richmond, VA. Redd credits learning how to rap to his uncles, who both rapped and taught Redd to freestyle before the age of 7. It wasn’t until the age of 12, after hearing Jay-Z’s Blueprint album, that Redd knew that rapping was something he wanted to be serious about. By the age of 16, most people who knew Redd knew that he was one hell of a freestyle battler. Secretly, Redd worked on 2 mixtapes within his last two years in high school. After graduating high school, he opened his own recording studio on his 18th birthday. After opening his studio, some of Redd’s friends from childhood and school came together to start recording together. Two groups grew out of the studio, by the name of Krown City and Product Of My City (P.O.M.C.) Redd Handed also is a producer and sound engineer. Redd Handed dropped his first solo mixtape, “Rise & Shine” via Twitter on April 21 2011. Since then, he has over 300,000 listens.
