Rick Envy has been heavily involved in the Hip Hop scene since 1997, when he first started making and recording music with a few friends. The enjoyment of rapping and recording lead Rick Envy into writing and producing his own music.

Envy rapped in middle school and high school. If Rick Envy wasn’t recording; he was rapping in the lunch room, hallways, talent shows; and even in rap battles at the school carnivals. In college, he formed a music group with two friends by the name of Eddie Taylor (Eddie Beans) and Anthony Mitchell (A Blizzy).

Their group name was called Millennium Music Group aka MMG. This group of young artist performed all over New England and they created a buzz in their Region. In the year of 2011, MMG dissolved. Since, then Rick Envy has put his focus into his solo career, which has already started to garner critical acclaim.
