Shera Jones

When you love yourself, you forgive your own imperfections”. This is a powerful quote Ms. SHERA J. stands by firmly. Manhattan born and Brooklyn raised, SHERA J. continues to exist due to the mixture of music and family. With intelligence and a beautiful voice, this vibrant twenty two year old artist is ready to dominate the music industry.

Her first musical experience took place in the back of her father’s van called “The Big Blue Baby”. S.W.V.’s “Weak” came on the radio, and SHERA J., along with her god sister, Gabby, began singing the song as though they wrote it. At that time, she was no older than seven years old, and she hasn’t stopped singing since. Her inspirations are her mom, dad, and the late greats such as Aaliyah, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, and James Brown. There’s no limit to the genres of music that she listens to, from R&B, to rock, to techno, to rap. SHERA J.’s style can best be described as funky, sexy and calm.

What sets her apart from other artists is knowing that she’s no different; she recognizes that all artists share a hunger and grind in a different way. Family motivates this talented individual, and the thought of giving her family everything one day is what keeps her pursue her dreams. The advice that she has for upcoming artists is to prepare yourself for this industry mentally and emotionally, to stay focused and do things at your own pace.

In the near future, I can guarantee that Ms. SHERA J. will be producing beautiful music. Raw talent like this doesn’t just come around everyday. She also has great hopes of expanding her group, Not The End Of The World (NTEOTW). Stay tuned people.
