“We’re Muslim. Don’t Panic.” (Female Break Dancers)

We’re Muslim. Don’t Panic. Is an all female break dancing group. I caught a video of them online through a Facebook share on my timeline, and wanted to give them a shout out by posting a dance routine at the Sage Awards last year.

 
The group’s main mission is to use hip-hop as a tool to help address the many misconceptions of Muslim women.
 
Hip-hop can help them achieve their mission because it can be use as a great teaching through informing, inspiring, and brings millions of people together to fight causes of injustice. I hope that these women continue to spread the love of hip hop and also address the many misconception and stereotypes that people have of their Muslim culture.
